Feeling Alone, Forgotten, and Abandoned

The writers of the Scriptures had their deep moments of sorrow.

I know that I have been through some pretty tough times. I feel like this picture is specifically for me. What I have learned is that God does not pick you up and walk you around trouble, He walks you THROUGH it, and helps you endure. And even when I have felt utterly alone, I KNEW that I was not. There is purpose and design for everything! Praise God even for the things we do not understand..

I think everyone feels a deep sense of lonliness and sorrow at times.

I believe Jesus felt a tremendous feeling of abandonment when His Father had to turn His back on Him, when He was on the cross.

In those dreadful moments, He experienced the aloneness and abandonment feelings that we sometimes feel. Therefore, He can relate to us in our sorrow.

The last two verses in Psalm 13 say, "But I have trusted in Your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me."
