After His resurrection, Christ left the earth in a cloud. One day He will return to earth in a cloud. He asks us to watch and pray; be alert. We need to continually look forward to His coming; the hope of glory. When He comes, we will be just like He is.

Hi Nate - Mark 13:33 also kind of reminds of when Jesus was praying in Matthew 26 to the Lord that if it were possible for Him to take this cup from him and then he goes back to his disciples and sees that they were sleeping. I kind of feel that it's kind of like the same in Mark 13 speaking that we need to stay alert; for he was wanting his disciples to stay awake and be alert.
This was a very astute observation Stacie. Jesus told His disciples to stay awake and pray in the light of His up-and-coming ordeal,His crucifixion, and they were sleeping.
In the same way, after the resurrection, the Lord told all of us to stay awake and pray, and yet many are sleeping.
